Kleine Zalze Cellar Selection Pinotage from Stellenbosch in South Africa is a fine Pinotage with rich fruity aromas and a a silky smooth palate .

This wine is a subtle and stylish wine with intense mulberry, plum fruit flavours and integrated oak tannins and will age very well. A great example of what Pinotage can offer when the fruit is top of the bill and subtle oak lending a hand with plum fruit and a mellow Mediterranean-like spicy feel giving the wine a fine tannin structure aging potential.

The grapes were harvested from two blocks from Stellenbosch and 40 year-old bush vine vineyards from the Durbanville region. Fifty percent of the wine was fermented in open epoxy cement tanks and fifty percent was fermented in closed stainless steel tanks. The wines were matured on fine lees in 2nd and 3rd fill barrels for 18 months.
